Britain Breaks Temperature Records
Will 2006 be the hottest year ever?
Britain’s record high temperature set in July 1911 has been broken for a second time. Other parts of Europe sizzled, too, but Britain is a country particularly ill-equipped for its infrequent brushes with sweltering temperatures.
