Many have recovered, but some still need help after Hurricane Ivan:

The remnants of Hurricane Ivan swept through the area almost seven months ago, but effects from the devastating rains still are being felt.

Andrew Clark, executive director of Adventist Communities Services based in Great Southern Shopping Center, Bridgeville, expects to keep open a distribution center for donations for up to two more years.

To date, Clark said, the group, sponsored by the Seventh Day Adventist Church, has helped more than 700 families affected by the floods and an additional 50 families in need of clothing and small appliances.
